Mid-Winter Blahs!

I didn't want to post today because it hasn't been a good day. Normally, I'd post first thing in the morning, but I woke up sick. Pushed myself to go to school and UGH, I shouldn't have. Now, I feel sick and I'm tired. I kept working on making today better...it didn't happen. 

Complaining is not something I like to do. One of my first grade teacher friends used to say, "Don't spread your bad feelings around!" I hear her voice in my ear as I type this! I'm sorry, but I feel like there's no energy for anything else. Soon, I'll take more medicine and get into bed early and stop spreading my bad feelings around...finally. Hoping your Tuesday was better than mine!

  1. I applaud you for taking the time to write! Sometimes it's okay to spread some "bad feelings" around... no need to be sorry...we all have these kinds of days! Feel better soon ;-)

  2. Next time just let it all out! I bet you'd end up sprinkling some humor into it and poking fun at yourself and then...helping yourself get to a better spot. I'm so with you. So ready for my kids to stop cheering for snow days and delays and such...and that's just the first thing on my list!

  4. It's so tough MIchelle, to work when you're sick. You should stay home of course, but it's so complicated for teachers, often harder to stay home. As I got closer to retirement it got easier.

  6. I am with you in spirit, today! I am sick and pushed myself into school, today - and thinking that I may have to take tomorrow off...my first sick day in a couple years. I couldn't resist your teaser about "crankiness". I say forgive yourself - we are humans! We get cranky! Feel better soon!!

  7. I hope you get to feeling better! I think it must be going around. We have sickness in our house today, and haven't been on a regular routine since before Christmas thanks to our first snowy winter in several years. Sending lots of good feelings your way to boost your spirits! If I could send some of my hot Russian tea through the blogsphere, I'd share a cup with you.

  9. I know the feeling of just feeling yucky! I've had a head cold for longer than I care to remember and long for the warmth of spring. Yet, somehow writing about the "small glories" of winter helped ME find some joy in the moment. SOMEHOW, writing about it all seems to help....and I hope it helped you...even if just alittle....SPeedy recovery!
