Nerdlution: The Sequel...Reflection Round Up Week #4

Week #4 Reflection

Can it be Thursday already? My week is beginning today as I traveled to Massachusetts unexpectedly for my grandfather's funeral.

Grammy & Papa on their honeymoon in Florida

Grammy & Papa with me at my first communion celebration!

I'm all turned around. Here's my quick reflections for today...

#1 Unplugged for an hour a day.
Lots of unplugged time and lots of reading and writing this past week. I've been doing much better with praying everyday too. I credit the book recommendation from Ruth Ayres. I'm loving Whispers of Hope and reading it every morning. Thanks, Ruth!

#2 Acts of kindness.
Travel gave me lots of new opportunities for acts of kindness. I noticed how taken aback people were when I stopped, looked them in the eye and said, "Thank you. Have a nice day." Our world moves SOOOO fast..simple moments like that are rare. I must confess, I felt like this week I've received more acts of kindness than I gave. My friends took turns taking care of my dog, Leo. My students wrote beautiful comments of comfort to me on our blog. I felt so loved and so grateful for each of those moments of kindness.

  1. I am at Y. Which means one more letter, and one more day, for my Nerdlution project: The Fictionary (I finally named it). I've enjoyed inventing new words every day but I am ready to bring it to a close, even if I am only at day 25.

  2. Blessings on your family! I was just reading about your Grandpa. I will call my Grandmother today, who lives with my parents, and is my last living grandparent. Such special people and memories.

Thanks again for hosting this! Have a great day!

  3. So sorry for your loss. I am happy to hear of all the kindness given and taken. I will try to get a post written. I want to reflect on how meditation is making me less organized.

  4. I just wanted to stop by and say that I am working on my #nerdlution goals. Some day more successful that others. Blog post will not get written today as I am trying to practice a goal of sleeping more as well! I think I really need to get that book that Ruth recommended. Take care and treasure the memories!

  5. Here's my post. Power on!

  6. Halfway there, everyone! Here's my post:

  7. So sorry for your loss.

Here's my update. Let's just say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Please share your thoughts. I love comments!
