A Blog Post in Notebook Pages

Thank you to Stacey, Betsy, Dana, Tara, Beth, Anna, Kathleen & Deb for this amazing platform to write and share writing! What a wonderful community you've created! I'm honored to be part of it. Join us at Two Writing Teachers.

Finding creative ways to blog through this sickness. Today, I'm sharing writing from my notebooks. I have written in notebooks since 1982. Here's a few random notebook pages from some of my 65 notebooks today for my slice...

  1. These are fantastic. I'm the WORST at writing in my notebook. I wish I had 56 notebooks as you do. How brilliant it must be to read who you were over the years. Great post. Wishing you felt better. xo

  7. Thanks for a glimpse inside and the number count! Very inspiring. I too like to carry a notebook. If I counted I'd be in the double digits but only around the 20s I suspect. You've inspired me to gather all in one place and count!

  10. And among all these wonderful pages, you included those first times with Bella. Wonderful to see all this, from Spain to that 'accusing notebook". Fun, & glad you found a way to post amidst your illness. Hope you're better soon, Michelle.

  14. I love peeking in your notebooks. I read them all but I love the last one the best! The metaphors you use for writing are amazing...iced tea, short-cuts, and fireworks! Brilliant!

  17. Fun to see this glimpse into your writing life. I have kind of stopped keeping notebooks the last couple of years and mostly just do it online. You make me want to go back to my notebooks.

  18. Congratulations on continuing your practice of writing in your fancy notebooks, Michelle. You have made them your own. When I think of notebooks, yours pop up into my head. I especially love your quotes like Twitter is a cocktail party, Align, Prepare, Dare-God calls us to do strange, unpredictable things in unpredictable ways). Of course, there is the entry about your adorable Bella.

  21. I am over coming technical difficulties at home and late commenting, but I didn't want the week to end without me saying how I love what you shared from your notebooks. What a wonderful picture over time of you as a journaler, thinker and writer. Your voice is so upbeat and positive--even in that list that annoys you! : ) Once at a women's Bible study meeting our ice breaker had us share the wierdest thing we had in our purses and tell the story of it. My girl friend had a tin of googly eyes (left over from her kindergartener's project); I had a citrus zester (present for a student who baked) -- your line brought that right back to me with a smile.
