Celebrating Vacations and Home

Today is my last day at the beach. I'm always surprised at how much I yearn to go home at the end of a vacation.

Don't get me wrong, I adore the beach! The ocean. The sand. The sun. The cool breeze. The waves. Peace. All of that is why I come back again and again every chance I get...but, I love my home too.

Waking up and writing morning pages at my desk. Walking Bella. A cup of coffee from my own coffee pot. Reading a good book. Just BE-ing.

Today I celebrate vacations. I celebrate the beach. I celebrate family. I also celebrate home.

Thank you to Ruth Ayres for providing this space to share our celebrations. Please join us and share your own!

  1. Home is a special place, isn't it - and we seem to feel the tug of it most when we are on holidays. Your beach holiday looks wonderful, Michelle, so glad that you had a great time.

  2. I've loved seeing all the pics from your beach time, Michelle. But when it's time to get home, I am ready, too. It's rather like a warm hug surrounding when I get there. Enjoy your last day!

  4. Fun to travel, but so fun to go home to a place we love. Enjoy your last beach day and then relish some time at home before school starts. It's hard to keep track of everyone's school schedules, but I hope you'll have some down time to just enjoy BE-ing before the beginning of school.

SO I reflecting this attitude as much as I enjoyed summer break (times of just BEing🙂) I am , also excited to be starting a new school year. It is a challenging priviledge to be a teacher!
